Our artist-run gallery is situated in the neighbourhood Wijck in Maastricht (the Netherlands). On the corner of the beautiful Rechtsstraat the gallery is surrounded by nice restaurants and lovely boutiques. The Bonnefanten Museum is also not that far and Plein 1992 is around the corner.
We started with an idea in 2022. In our first exhibition we collaborated with two other artists.
To make the gallery as vivid as possible we invite artists not only to exhibit with us but also share this room and make it brighter.
This is no longer a White-Cube Gallery, it is a living room filled with good taste, good mood and open minds.

Wat als idee begon is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een ruimte voor kunst uit de regio en soms internationaal talent.
De kunstenaars Bryan Claessen en Sophia Kirst zoeken andere kunstenaars die samen met hun de ruimte inkleuren. De kunst en de kunstenaar staat bij DÜRVE op de eerste plaats. Gedurft zou je kunnen zeggen - als je vanuit een passie aan iets begint.
Passie voor vorm en kleur en een gevoelige sfeer is wat de twee verbindt. Terwijl Bryan de sferen in architectuur en landschappen zoekt doet Sophia dit in de tussenruimtes, in de “emptiness” van het witte doek rond haar figuren.
DÜRVE presenteert een wisselende collectie zodat er altijd weer iets nieuws te zien is. De platenspeler staat altijd aan en de drempel is laag. Mensen die passeren mogen binnenwandelen en de kunst aanschouwen zonder zich ongemakkelijk te voelen. De deuren zijn open van donderdag tot en met zaterdag en soms zondag van 12 tot 17 uur.

What started as an idea grew in a few months and is now a place for art from the region as well as international art
Artists Bryan Claessen and Sophia Kirst search for other artist to exhibit together. The art and the artist are in focus.
A passion for colors, vorms and a good athmosphere is what brings the two together. Bryan searches for these settings in (lost) architectur and landscapes while Sophia is searching for it in the inbetweeen or the ‘emptiness’ surrounding her figures.
DÜRVE presents a collection that changes often. The vinyl records are on and the doors are wide open. People who walk along are welcome to walk in without feeeling observed. Doors are open thursday to saturday and sometimes sunday 12 - 5..
